Very interesting project by Sascha Pohflepp, Echo is focused around the renaming of streets in Berlin and the communication issues driving and consequence of these changes. Rendering immaterial historical changes like the street names is the aim of this project.

These representations pivot around the actual streetname-pole, the final effect is bright shadow-like traces on the pavement obtained thanks to reflective coating.

Particular care has been given to the visual semantics of this representation using the angle of the shadows as a circular timline reference.
